I adore this salad! Sweet and tangy broccoli salad with bacon, raisins, and sunflower seeds.
A perfect summer side dish. Make up a batch for your next cook out. Check out Summer Cucumber Salad too.
This recipe was in Grandma R’s huge recipe box. I’m has a note that I was given to her by Cindy Rehm. I hope to find out more about her if possible. For now I will just share the recipe with you.
- 1 large bunch broccoli
- 6 slices crisp cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/3 C raisins (or more)
- 1/3 C sunflower seeds
- 1/2 red onion chopped
Ingredients for dressing:
- 1/2 C mayo
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
Mix first ingredients in a large bowl. Stir dressing ingredients in small bowl and pour over the broccoli mix. Combine well and refrigerate at least 2 hours but best overnight.
